Game background

Starshifter is a game about shape-shifting, desert animals, and finding your place. You play as Coyote, a guardian responsible for maintaining balance on Earth. Each Guardian is given a power by the stars that helps them protect the land from the effects of darkness, but Coyote has no power. One night, a meteor shower causes stars to fall from the sky, leaving the animals helpless against the spirits of the night who wish to reclaim the stars for themselves. The Wolf, the only one accustomed to being powerless, now assumes the role of guardian to reclaim the stars. Coyotes learn how to harness their new shape-shifting abilities and use it to explore further than ever before.
